is there a limit or anything for
number of words in the stories? and are you lost particular about
capitalizion? i only ask because i'm on my mother's computer and
sometimes things just strike me.
darah
greenshadowcrawler@yahoo.com
Darah, there is no set limit per words except keep in mind OCEAN publishes articles, stories, essays, and poems and these should be reasonable in length for their relative type of writing. For instance, limited to about 5,000 words. Perhaps you can purchase a copy of OCEAN to see what OCEAN publishes. Copies are available in print form and in digital form on this website.
And yes, OCEAN is particular about capitalization.
Diane
Hi,
I was excited to hear of your magazine, and have some stories that
I may wish either to enter into your writing contest or to send in for
possible publication. I couldn't find anywhere on your site whether you
pay writers for contributing and/or for being selected as a winner in
your contest. What is your policy re payment?
Thanks,
Mark

Neil Ever Osborne's photos are breathtaking and help to
illustrate the beauty we'll lose if conservation efforts aren't
extended. He is a great addition to Ocean Magazine.

I agree, Court. Thank you!

Diane, I photograph, then paint
underwater subjects. I sell my paintings, giclées, small prints, and note
cards through my website. I have also written poetry about the ocean. How
would I get a small article or advertising into your magazine? I
found out about your magazine from Danielle Renée, who will be featured in
your April 09 issue.
Bonnielynn Brankey

Bonnielynn, I'd love to know more about you and your work. I'll take a look through your website. Meanwhile, you can look into OCEAN's advertising offers: http://store.oceanmag.org/advertisersandretailers.aspx
Maybe you'd like to get started right away with an online ad?

I purchased an online copy of your
Winter 2009 issue. I was hoping to print out an article for my own
personal use, but the PDF is locked and prevents printing. Is this
intentional, or is there any way I can print out articles?
Karl Kilborn
karl@intelligent-imaging.com
Karl, I hope you are enjoying OCEAN's Winter 2009 Online version. The Copyright protects against reproducing OCEAN's content. Would you like a print version of this issue?
Thanks, Diane
